SOUTH CAICOS AIRPORT SLATED FOR MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS

Major improvements for the South Caicos airport are scheduled to begin in 2015, and are expected to be completed within the next three years. The first phase of work will include the resurfacing of the existing runway and turnaround point as well as the development of the control tower and the fire station.

Following these updates, the existing and partially constructed main terminal will be demolished and a newly designed open-air terminal will be built in its place. A total of approximately $10 million will be invested into these improvements, all of which will greatly enhance the South Caicos experience.
