FERRY SERVICE TO SOUTH CAICOS IN FULL SWING!

TCI Ferry Service is very happy to announce the introduction of a new twice weekly ferry service to South Caicos, the new service will bridge another gap between the Turks & Caicos Islands making it easy and convenient for not only residents but also tourist to take the comfortable 90 minute ride to THE BIG SOUTH.  South Caicos has lots to offer visitors with some of the most stunning scenery in all of the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Right off the beach, from December through to April, North Atlantic humpback whales migrate through the Columbus Passage that separates South Caicos and Grand Turk, you can literally sit and watch these incredible animals as they pass on their way South to breed and nurse their young in the Silver Banks off the Dominican Republic, you’ll never get bored of watching.

There is world class snorkeling and diving ‘off the beach’ or a short boat ride away, spend the day amazed at what you see on the un spoilt reefs and the amazing 7000ft wall.
Wonder around the Sleepy  town of Cockburn Harbor and meet the locals, South Caicos has a thriving Fishing, Conch and Lobster industry, have lunch or dinner in one of the local restaurants and enjoy fresh fish and local produce the way it should be.

The rich history of South Caicos has seen rouges and Royalty, Queen Elisabeth II stayed in the 18th Century Commissioner’s House during her visit in 1966, the town reflects its Bermudian and British heritage with many examples of the classic architectural design.
The old saltpans that once made South Caicos the islands’ largest producer of salt, have become the home of a variety of bird species including flocks of flamingos and don’t be surprised to bump into wild donkeys where ever you go on South.

Other activities for visitors in South Caicos include, kayaking & stand up paddle boarding through the mangroves, bone fishingdeep sea fishing, visiting Long Cay to see the Iguanas, trekking along theNorth shore or just relaxing on one of the many beautiful deserted beaches.
